The national anthem of Ireland is Amhran Naisiunta na hEireann, which is The Soldier’s Song in English.
The music was composed by Peadar Kearney and Patrick Heeney while the lyrics were written by Peadar Kearney, in 1907. The original Irish version was written by Bulmer Hobson.
This song was immediately adopted by the Irish Volunteers. The chorus was recognized as the official anthem in 1926 and replaced God Save Ireland.
