The popular song "Da una Lacrima sul Viso" is the work of the Italian composer Iller Pattacini, which was created under the pseudonym Lunero.
The song was performed in 1964 by Bobby Solo, whose real name is Roberto Satti, at the San Remo festival. Despite Bobby Solo’s disqualification for having sung it in playback, the popularity of the song instantaneously soared and made it an internationally acclaimed hit song.
The song, translated into French with the title "Sur ton visage, une larme", was performed by the French singer Lucky Blondo, whose real name is Gérard Blondiot. He sang in a voice as soft as that of the Italian performer. Both versions are an absolute delight.
